Este fin de semana largo (12 al 16/10/2018) Ovalle, capital de la provincia de Limare en la región de Coquimbo, fue el lugar de encuentro para disfrutar de las actividades proporcionada por el Club Aéreo de Ovalle, organizador y anfitrión del FAN 2018 en su segunda edición del Festival Aéreo del Norte.

El evento partió el viernes a la noche con las pruebas de vuelos nocturnos en las cuales participaron 6 aviones. En ambos días del fin de semana el público estaba admitido desde las 10 de la mañana hasta las 19h, disfrutando de atracciones proporcionadas por la Fuerza Aérea de Chile, el Servicio Aerofotografico, las escuelas de la FACh, el Ejercito, los Boinas Azules, el Servicio de búsqueda y rescate, Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil y el Museo Nacional Aeronáutico Y Del Espacio con la exhibición de un Extra 300. Además de un patio de comida y recreación.
También estuvieron presente club de aeromodelismo, empresas locales y ventas de productos de la zona.

El público pudo apreciar las demostraciones de acrobacias aéreas proporcionadas por Patricio Alfaro en el Vans RV-8 CC-AJC,

Mijali Proestakis Muñoz volando el XtremeAir XA42 N137XK

así como Matías Olavarrienta a los controles del Extra EA-300L CC-ANM.

La Escuadrilla de Paracaidismo Boinas Azules proporcionó también una demostración de calidad que, al igual que las acrobacias aéreas, impresiono el público.

No es de olvidar sin duda las llegadas notables del Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk y su partida final en la tarde del domingo.

El domingo a la tarde el ENAER T-35B Pillan efectuó una partida que agradó el público cuando, luego de su despegue, inició el circuito para volver y hacer una pasada a altura de seguridad sobre la pista.

Además, contamos con la presencia del grupo World War II Experience, de Valparaíso, quien recrean las primera y segunda guerra mundial con la presentación de uniformes de época.

También estuvo presente el Club de paracaidismo Skydive Nimbus.

Unas 600 personas disfrutaron de los vuelos populares proporcionados por los aviones puestos a sus disposiciones por los clubes de la región.

El sábado a la noche una cena de camaradería reunía los pilotos y miembros de los diferentes clubes participantes en este evento con el personal del club aéreo de Ovalle.

Queremos agradecer los integrantes del club aéreo de Ovalle, su director señor Roberto Dabed así como el personal de la DGAC en misión al aeródromo El Tuqui por las atenciones y facilidades que se nos otorgó a fines de realizar este reportaje.

This long weekend (12 to 16/10 /2018), Ovalle, capital of the province of Limare in the Coquimbo region, was the meeting place to enjoy the activities provided by the Aviation Club of Ovalle, organizer and host of the FAN 2018 in its second edition of the Northern Air Festival.

The event started Friday night with night flight tests in which six planes participated.
On both days of the weekend the public was admitted from 10 am to 7 pm, enjoying attractions provided by the Chilean Air Force, the Aerophotographic Service, the academies of the Air Force, the Army, the Boinas Azules Skydiving team , the search and rescue service. The DGAC and the National Aeronautics and Space Museum with the exhibition of an Extra 300, as well as a food court and recreation.
Club of radio Control model aircraft, local companies and sales of local products were also present.

The public was able to appreciate the demonstrations of acrobatics provided by Patricio Alfaro in the Vans RV-8 CC-AJC, Mijali Proestakis Muñoz flying the XtremeAir XA42 N137XK as well as Matías Olavarrienta at the controls of the Extra EA-300L CC-ANM.

The Boinas Azules Skydiving Squadron also provided a quality demonstration that, like the acrobatics flights, impressed the public.

We may not forget the impressive arrivals of the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk and its final departure on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday afternoon the ENAER T-35B Pillan made a show that pleased the public when, after take-off, it initiated the circuit to return and make a low pass at safety height over the runway.

In addition, we had the presence of the World War II Experience group from Valparaíso, who recreate the first and second world wars with the presentation of period uniforms.
The Skydive Nimbus Skydiving Club was also present.

Some 600 people enjoyed the popular flights provided by the planes put at their disposal by the clubs of the region.

On Saturday night, a dinner of friendship brought together the pilots and members of the different clubs participating in this event, with the staff of the Ovalle air club.

We want to thank the team of the Ovalle aviation club, its director Mr. Roberto Dabed as well as the staff of the DGAC on mission to the El Tuquí airfield for the attentions and facilities that were granted to us for the purpose of this report.
