Como cada año, este 11 de noviembre se disfrutó una jornada de puertas abiertas organizada por el Club de Planeadores de Vitacura, con base en el aeródromo municipal del mismo nombre en Santiago de Chile. Estas actividades permiten a los habitantes de Vitacura compartir e informarse de las actividades variadas desempeñadas por el Club pero también las operaciones de vuelos a partir de este aeródromo. Este año además se disfrutó un clima soleado que favoreció aún más las actividades de vuelos populares en avión, planeadores o helicópteros a disposición de los visitantes.

Contaba con la presencia de aeronaves del Club pero también de los socios y operadores con base en este aeródromo.

 

Por supuesto la participación de las aeronaves militares de la Aviación Naval (un Eurocopter SA-365F Dauphin 2), el Ejército (McDonnell Douglas HU-53 (MD530F/369FF), Airbus Helicopters AS-532AL Cougar) y la Fuerza Aérea de Chile (Bell 412EP y planeador Schempp-Hirth Janus C) despertó mucho entusiasmo por parte de la juventud.
No podemos olvidar la presencia también del Airbus Helicopters AS-350B 3 Ecureuil operando con la Policía de Investigaciones de Chile así como Carabineros de Chile con el Leonardo (Agusta Westland) AW 139 pero también la participación de vehículos y peros policiales.

El público pudo asistir a una operación policial simulada por el Grupo de Operaciones Policiales Especiales (GOPE) utilizando como apoyo aéreo el Airbus Helicopters EC 135 P2 »C-03» de la Prefectura Aérea de Carabineros de Chile.

Otras demostraciones aéreas fueron las de Carlos Rocca con el planeador Pilatus B4-PC11AF.

También participaron en el evento 2 Manta Scout ultralivianos proveniente de Lipangui y que nos demostraron las capacidades acrobáticas de estos aviones.

En la zona de presentaciones estáticas estaban a la muestra los siguientes aviones
Agusta A109S Grand CC-ANZ Aerocardal/ Clínica Alemana, Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub CC-PGK, Beech G36 Bonanza CC-ANC, Pipistrel Virus SW CC-AHU de Aeroinnova SPA, Cirrus SR22 N809LT, Beech 95-B55 Baron CC-PGN, Socata TBM-850 N771AM, Aviat Aircraft A-1A Husky CC-ANP y las siguientes aeronaves del club de Planeadores de Vitacura: DGFlugzeugbau DG-1001S CC-ASZ, Boeing A-75 N-1 Stearman CC-KWZ, Ventus CM CC-LWD, Cessna 150 CC-KWR, Cessna 172 Skyhawk CC-KWG, Schempp-Hirth Ventus 2b CC-PQV asi como el Schempp-Hirth Duo Discus.

Pero uno de los más destacados era el nuevo integrante a la flota de planeadores del Club:
el DGFlugzeugbau DG-1001S CC-ASZ

Y para no derogar a la tradición, el público y sobre todo los aficionados del tema de aviación pudieron disfrutar de los despegues y pasadas de despedidas preconizadas por aeronaves presentes en este evento tan apreciado.

Una de las próximas actividades anunciada por el Club de Planeadores será, del 13 al 20 de enero próximo, la final del Sailplane Grand Prix Chile 2018.

As every year, this November 11 an open day was organized by the Vitacura Gliding Club, based at the municipal aerodrome of the same name in Santiago de Chile. These activities allow the inhabitants of Vitacura to share and learn about the varied activities carried out by the Club but also the flight operations at this aerodrome.
This year we also enjoyed a sunny climate that further favoured the activities of popular flights with airplane, gliders or helicopters available to visitors.
It counted with the presence of aircraft of the Club but also of the partners and operators based at this aerodrome.
Of course, the participation of military aircraft of the Naval Aviation (a Eurocopter SA-365F Dauphin 2), the Army (McDonnell Douglas HU-53 (MD530F / 369FF), Airbus Helicopters AS-532AL Cougar) and the Chilean Air Force (Bell 412EP and Schempp-Hirth glider Janus C) aroused much enthusiasm on the part of youth generation.
We may not forget the presence also of the Airbus Helicopters AS-350B 3 Ecureuil operating with the Chilean Investigative Police as well as the Carabineros de Chile with the Leonardo (Agusta Westland) AW 139 but also police vehicles and police dogs.
The public was able to attend a simulated police operation by the Special Police Operations Group (GOPE) using as air support the Airbus Helicopters EC 135 P2 » C-03 » from the Chilean Carabineros.

In addition, participated in the event two ultralight Manta Scout from Lipangui that showed us the aerobatic capabilities of these aircraft.

In addition, to not repeal the tradition, the public and especially the amateurs of aviation theme could enjoy the departures and farewell passes performed by aircraft on show in this much-appreciated event.
One of the next activities announced by the Glider Club will be, from January 13 to 20, the final of the Sailplane Grand Prix Chile 2018.
