El consorcio Airbus, con su presencia en FIDAE 2022, fue uno de los mayores expositores de la vigésima segunda edición de la presentación de aeronaves comerciales y militares la mas grande de América Latina.

Estuvo en presentación un A220, uno de sus aviones más recién que aprovecho este evento para hacer una gira de demostración por el continente Sud Americano igual si sus primeras escalas fueron Miami, seguido por México y Panamá donde se organizaron vuelos de presentación a las líneas aéreas locales, aterrizando en Santiago el 2 de abril, para el inicio de FIDAE 2022. También se realizaron vuelos de presentaciones a posibles clientes.

El avión llevaba los colores de la compañía Swiss Internacional línea aérea de lanzamiento del avión. Este modelo de avión es el único diseño disponible en el mercado de pasajeros entre los 100-150 asientos e incluye aerodinámica de ultima tecnología, motores turboventiladores Pratt & Whitney PW1500G permitiendo una reducción de 50 por ciento de la huella de ruido y hasta 25 por ciento de menor consumo en el combustible y emisiones de CO₂, comparando las cifras con las de aeronaves de generaciones anteriores.

Los A220 que integraron en 2018 la familia de aeronaves producida por Airbus luego de su adquisición a Bombardier tienen un total de 740 pedidos es decir 102 modelos A220-100 y 638 A220-300.
El viernes 8 de abril fue a Argentina para luego seguir a Sao Paulo donde termino su gira de presentación.
Emprendió su vuelo de regreso a Suiza haciendo escalas en Miami y Montreal para luego seguir a Zúrich. La razón de este trayecto por el norte es que el Airbus A220 no tenía la certificación ETOPS.

Airbus Defence and Space, por su parte, trajo el Airbus A330 MRTT de Air Tanker, consorcio de 5 empresas (Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Cobham, Tales y Babcock International Group), que participan en las operaciones de los 14 A330MRTT británicos, 9 modelos MRTT y 5 modelos flexibles o no esenciales.

Si inicialmente fue anunciado como un modelo A330MRTT, su aspecto exterior muestra que estamos en presencia de una versión flexible (llamada también non-core o no esencial), en el sentido de que el avión presente y con matrícula G-VYGK está configurado como un avión de línea aérea para transporte de pasajeros, y tal como se puede ver en las fotos, unos detalles muestran bien que tiene la posibilidad de ser convertido en la versión tanquera.

Los detalles muestran las posiciones de los equipos de contramedidas infrarrojos direccionales (DIRCM Directional Infrared Countermeasures), un sistema de protección basado en un láser de infrarrojo. Su operación consiste en la protección del avión equipado con este sistema a través de la detección del lanzamiento de un misil enemigo y su neutralización inmediata gracias a la acción del láser DIRCM, que contramedi el sistema de guiado infrarrojo del misil.

La RAF opera 2 versiones del Airbus A330-200 Voyager: La versión KC2 con solo dos podes subalares Cobhan de reabastecimiento y la versión KC3 con los dos pods subalares y también un sistema FRU es decir una unidad Cobham 805E de reabastecimiento de fuselaje para poder reabastecer aeronaves equipadas con sonda. (FRU: Fuselage Refuelling Unit).

Por su parte, Airbus Helicopters proponía una gama de helicópteros desde los mono-motores livianos H125 y ACH130,

hasta los bi-motores livianos H145 de cinco pales y también el bi-motor pesado H215.

Cabe destacar que mas de 600 H125 están en operación en América Latina.

Las cifras muestran por si mismo la presencia de Airbus en América Latina y el Caribe: más de 1,100 aviones comerciales vendidos y también más de 500 pedidos. Mas de 100 aeronaves militares en operaciones, pero también tres satélites operando en la región. En cuanto a los helicópteros son mas de 1400 de los distintos modelos disponibles.

Cabe destacar las operaciones desempeñadas por el H125 nuevo integrante de la Armada de Chile, para reemplazar los Bell UH-57B Jet Range.

El H145 de cinco palas es un helicóptero multi misión que está perfectamente diseñado para las condiciones de calor y altura únicas de América Latina. Este helicóptero bi-motor ofrece una amplia gama de equipamiento opcional para satisfacer requerimientos operacionales versátiles. Los visitantes podrán descubrir que Airbus tiene las soluciones de helicópteros más eficientes para transportar pasajeros de manera segura en los ambientes más demandantes.

En el marco de FIDAE 2022, Airbus Helicopters hiso entrega del primero modelo H145 equipado con cinco palas a un operador en Chile. Se trata de Aviasur que lo utilizará para transporte de pasajeros y misiones multipropósito. Esta versión del bimotor ligero H145 de un peso de cuatro toneladas con su nuevo e innovador rotor de cinco palas permite nuevas capacidades de misiones y flexibilidades, sobre todo en operaciones a gran altura o alta temperatura (hot & high).

Esta propulsado por dos motores Safran Arriel 2E. Además de aviónica digital Helionix, incluye también un piloto automático de 4 ejes de alto rendimiento lo que permite mayor seguridad de vuelo y reducción de carga de trabajo para el piloto y es de destacar su particularmente baja huella acústica haciendo que el H145 es el helicóptero mas silencioso de su categoría.

También fue entregado un modelo H145 a la provincia de Córdoba, que será utilizado en extinción de incendio, búsqueda y salvamiento, así como misiones de ayuda humanitaria.

En septiembre de 2019, el helicóptero H145 demostró sus capacidades de aterrizar y despegar a alta altura realizando un vuelo sobre el Aconcagua, en la cordillera de los Andes (22.840 pies), la montaña la mas alta del hemisferio sur.

Otra presentación fue la del H130 con matricula CC-DDO. En base a informaciones recibidas se trataría de una versión ‘’Aston Martin’’, es decir un H130 VVIP con interior diseñado por la marca de autos Aston Martin: nuevo interior de cuero realizado por guarnicioneros de Aston Martin mismo y con el logo de la marca.

En 2019 Airbus Helicopters firmo un paternaría con Aston Martin para la decoración de unos H130 y el primero fue el G-XAML con c/n 8742.
Previamente Airbus Helicopter había firmado un paternaría con Mercedes para rediseñar el interior de los EC135 y EC145 VVIP.

Una fecha de importancia para Airbus en FIDAE 2022 fue la del 7 de abril. De hecho, fue este día que se firmo el contrato con la compañía aérea boliviana Boliviana de Aviación quien selecciono el A330-200 para la renovación de su flota de largo alcance. Operaran los vuelos internacionales de la compañía área desde La Paz hacia Madrid y La Paz- Miami. Los Airbus estarán arrendados a Avalon y ORIX Aviation.

Airbus Defence y Space presentó su amplia gama Espacial tales como satélites de telecomunicaciones y observación terrestre, capacidades para Exploración Espacial, pero también Sistemas Aéreos No Tripulados (UAS por sus siglas en inglés).

Es de destacar también el compromiso de Airbus en el tema de sostenibilidad en aviación comercial.
En una conferencia de prensa, con la presencia de los señores Arturo Barreira, presidente de Airbus para América Latina y el Caribe, señor Víctor de la Vela, director de Airbus Defensa y Espacio para América Latina y señor Alberto Robles, Head de Airbus Helicopters para América Latina, se abordaron los proyectos, avances y proyecciones de sostenibilidad en la aviación comercial y la posición de Airbus en cuanto a los compromisos de descarbonización que proyecta la industria aeronáutica para 2050.
Se abordaron y presentaron el desarrollo de aviones propulsados por hidrogeno, los que entrarían en servicios en 2035, así como el avance en las utilizaciones en aeronaves, de combustibles limpio 100% sustentables.
Airbus se comprometió en utilizar combustible sustentable para todos los vuelos de entrega de sus modelos Airbus, reduciendo así la emisión de CO₂ (dióxido de carbono).

Airbus participation in FIDAE 2022.
The Airbus consortium, with its presence at FIDAE 2022, was one of the largest exhibitors at the twenty-second edition of the largest commercial and military aircraft presentation in Latin America.

In the context of FIDAE 2022, Airbus Helicopters delivered the first H145 model equipped with five blades to an operator in Chile. An H145 model was also delivered to the province of Córdoba, which will be used in firefighting, search and rescue, as well as humanitarian aid missions.
In September 2019, the H145 helicopter demonstrated its high-altitude landing and take-off capabilities by flying over Aconcagua, in the Andes mountain range (22,840 feet), the highest mountain in the southern hemisphere.

Another presentation was that of the H130 with registration CC-DDO. Based on information received, it would be an «Aston Martin» version, that is, an H130 VVIP with an interior designed by the Aston Martin car brand: new leather interior made by Aston Martin saddlers themselves and with the logo of the brand.

An important date for Airbus at FIDAE 2022 was April 7.
