En el cuadro de los festejos y actividades relacionadas con la conmemoración del Centenario de la Fuerza Aérea Paraguaya que conmemorara en febrero del próximo año (2023), la institución organizó el pasado 11 de diciembre el ‘’Festival con proa al centenario de la aviación militar 1923-2023’’ con demostraciones aérea y jornada de Puertas Abiertas en la Base Aérea Ñu Guazú, en la ciudad de Luque. El tema siendo el siguiente: ‘’Alas de un siglo en el alma guaraní’’
Una de las primeras actividades de este día fue una corrida ‘’Alas de un siglo’’ de 6 y 10 kilómetros iniciada a las 7 de la mañana.

Como parte de las exhibiciones aérea, se contó con la presentación en vuelo de 3 EMB-312 Tucano de la Primera Brigada Aérea,

un helicóptero Bell UH-1H del Grupo Aéreo de Helicópteros

También se realizaron lanzamientos de paracaidistas, pero lo mas esperado fue el salto en paracaídas de 100 personas con la finalidad de realizar un nuevo récord de 100 velámenes abiertos.

Otras actividades fuero shows presentados por clubes de motociclistas, así como la posibilidad de realizar una ascensión en globos aerostáticos.
Para los niños, un hangar con juegos y un simulacro de salto de aeronave les permitieron disfrutar de entretenciones al abrigo del sol
Por la parte animación musical contamos con la presencia de los artistas nacionales Tierra Adentro, Francisco Ruso, Fátima Roman y Latín Beat.

Para los aficionados interesados en completar sus listas de ‘’Gate Guardians’’, nos fue posible tomar fotos de los aviones conservados en la base.

One of the first activities of this day was a 6 and 10 kilometer «Wings of a Century» run that began at 7 in the morning.

This celebration allowed the public present to learn about the missions and activities carried out by the FAP throughout the year and, above all, to appreciate the important role it played during the COVID 19 pandemic.
As part of the air displays, there was an in-flight presentation of 3 AT-27 (EMB-312) Tucano from the First Air Brigade, a Bell UH-1H helicopter from the Helicopter Air Group and a Stearman PT-17 Kaydet.
In static presentation: two Cessna 208B Gran Caravan EX from Grupo Aéreo de Transporte Especial, a Bell 429 GlobalRanger from Aerocentro, a Cessna 150 from Chakair and a 152L also from Aerocentro as well as a Cessna 310R from Aerotax S.A.
